E o buraco na camada de oz\u00f4nio passou a ser o maior \u00edcone da luta pela preserva\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental da \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"28\" data-block-id=\"6\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Dois anos depois, foi firmado o Protocolo de Montreal, em que os pa\u00edses signat\u00e1rios se comprometeram a reduzir a produ\u00e7\u00e3o e comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o de subst\u00e2ncias consideradas respons\u00e1veis pelo dano.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"36\" data-block-id=\"7\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Com isso, a camada de oz\u00f4nio come\u00e7ou a se recuperar. E, nas d\u00e9cadas seguintes, o tema perdeu protagonismo para outras quest\u00f5es ambientais, como o aquecimento global. Mas a melhora &#8220;excepcional&#8221;, segundo os cientistas, estaria relacionada a condi\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas, e n\u00e3o \u00e0s a\u00e7\u00f5es de conserva\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"18\" data-block-id=\"16\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Os especialistas esperam que o buraco seja reduzido para os n\u00edveis de 1980 at\u00e9 o ano de 2070.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles\" data-block-type=\"raw\" data-block-weight=\"8\" data-block-id=\"17\">\n<div class=\"content-intertitle\">\n<h2>Por que o buraco est\u00e1 sobre a Ant\u00e1rtida?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"27\" data-block-id=\"18\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Em 1986, a pesquisadora americana Susan Solomon mostrou que o oz\u00f4nio estava sendo destru\u00eddo pela presen\u00e7a de mol\u00e9culas que cont\u00eam cloro e bromo provenientes dos clorofluorcarbonetos (CFCs).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"26\" data-block-id=\"19\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Esses gases eram encontrados em quase tudo &#8211; de sprays para cabelo e desodorantes a geladeiras e aparelhos de ar-condicionado \u2013 e foram proibidos em 2006.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"17\" data-block-id=\"20\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Quando tentamos localizar no planeta onde est\u00e1 o dano \u00e0 camada de oz\u00f4nio, olhamos para a Ant\u00e1rtida.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles\" data-block-type=\"raw\" data-block-weight=\"38\" data-block-id=\"21\">\n<blockquote class=\"content-blockquote theme-border-color-primary-before\"><p>&#8220;Quando falamos sobre o buraco na camada de oz\u00f4nio, nos referimos \u00e0 Ant\u00e1rtida porque \u00e9 onde a redu\u00e7\u00e3o do oz\u00f4nio \u00e9 mais flagrante e maior durante uma \u00e9poca espec\u00edfica do ano, quando \u00e9 a primavera (setembro-novembro)&#8221;, explica Motzka.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"19\" data-block-id=\"22\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">O frio extremo da regi\u00e3o e a grande quantidade de luz ajudam a produzir as chamadas nuvens estratosf\u00e9ricas polares.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"content-ads content-ads--reveal\" data-block-type=\"ads\" data-block-id=\"23\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"16\" class=\"content-intertitle\">\n<h2>Quais s\u00e3o os pa\u00edses mais afetados pelo buraco?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"23\" data-block-id=\"26\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Com a destrui\u00e7\u00e3o da camada de oz\u00f4nio, os perigosos raios ultravioletas do Sol encontram o caminho livre para atingir a superf\u00edcie da Terra.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"20\" data-block-id=\"27\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">\u00c9 por isso que alguns pa\u00edses da Am\u00e9rica Latina s\u00e3o mais afetados que outros pelo aumento dos n\u00edveis de radia\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles\" data-block-type=\"raw\" data-block-weight=\"27\" data-block-id=\"28\">\n<blockquote class=\"content-blockquote theme-border-color-primary-before\"><p>&#8220;Pa\u00edses com altas latitudes no hemisf\u00e9rio sul podem ter uma exposi\u00e7\u00e3o maior e ser mais afetados pelos danos da camada de oz\u00f4nio sobre a Ant\u00e1rtida&#8221;, diz Motzka.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"18\" data-block-id=\"29\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Aqueles que est\u00e3o mais pr\u00f3ximos do buraco, como Argentina e Chile, s\u00e3o os mais vulner\u00e1veis, segundo o especialista.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles\" data-block-type=\"raw\" data-block-weight=\"2\" data-block-id=\"30\">\n<div class=\"content-intertitle\">\n<h2>Subst\u00e2ncias perigosas<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"29\" data-block-id=\"31\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Em maio deste ano, um estudo conduzido por Motzka mostrou que, em algum lugar da \u00c1sia, est\u00e3o sendo geradas emiss\u00f5es de produtos qu\u00edmicos proibidos nocivos \u00e0 camada de oz\u00f4nio.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"19\" data-block-id=\"32\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">As subst\u00e2ncias a que ele se refere s\u00e3o os mesmos clorofluorocarbonetos (CFC-11), uma combina\u00e7\u00e3o de fl\u00faor, carbono e cloro.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"45\" data-block-id=\"33\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Poucos meses depois, a Ag\u00eancia de Pesquisa Ambiental (EIA), com sede no Reino Unido, afirmou que esses gases poderiam ser provenientes de espumas de isolamento t\u00e9rmico de poliuretano, produzidas na China para uso dom\u00e9stico a um pre\u00e7o reduzido.
