Laborat\u00f3rio de Propuls\u00e3o a Jato) da\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/g1.globo.com\/tudo-sobre\/nasa\/\">Nasa\u00a0<\/a>e de universidades americanas encontraram hematita, uma forma de \u00f3xido de ferro, nas regi\u00f5es polares da lua.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"13\" data-block-id=\"4\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Este \u00f3xido requer a presen\u00e7a de \u00e1gua l\u00edquida e oxig\u00eanio para se formar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"24\" data-block-id=\"5\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">O \u00f3xido na superf\u00edcie de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/g1.globo.com\/tudo-sobre\/marte\/\">Marte\u00a0<\/a>\u00e9 o que lhe d\u00e1 sua cor avermelhada e sugere que o planeta j\u00e1 teve \u00e1gua e oxig\u00eanio.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"24\" data-block-id=\"6\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">A Lua n\u00e3o tem atmosfera, ou seja, n\u00e3o tem oxig\u00eanio, e prevalece o ferro met\u00e1lico puro, por isso o achado do \u00f3xido \u00e9 surpreendente.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"17\" data-block-id=\"7\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Mas os cientistas acreditam ter encontrado o culpado pela oxida\u00e7\u00e3o do nosso sat\u00e9lite: o oxig\u00eanio da Terra.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles\" data-block-type=\"raw\" data-block-weight=\"3\" data-block-id=\"8\">\n<div class=\"content-intertitle\">\n<h2>Como isso aconteceu?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"18\" data-block-id=\"9\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Amostras lunares trazidas \u00e0 Terra pelas miss\u00f5es Apollo da Nasa n\u00e3o mostraram sinais da presen\u00e7a de ferro oxidado.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"28\" data-block-id=\"10\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Mas os pesquisadores analisaram dados do Mapeador de Mineralogia Lunar (M3) projetado pelo JPL e instalado na sonda Chandrayaan-1, da primeira miss\u00e3o lunar da\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/g1.globo.com\/tudo-sobre\/india\/\">\u00cdndia<\/a>, lan\u00e7ada em 2008.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"19\" data-block-id=\"11\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">A Chandrayaan-1 descobriu \u00e1gua congelada na Lua usando radares e detectou uma variedade de minerais na superf\u00edcie do sat\u00e9lite.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"64\" data-block-id=\"12\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">&#8220;Quando examinei os dados do M3 nas regi\u00f5es polares, encontrei algumas caracter\u00edsticas e padr\u00f5es espectrais diferentes do que vemos em latitudes mais baixas ou nas amostras da Apollo&#8221;, disse Shuai Li, pesquisador assistente do Instituto de Geof\u00edsica e Planetologia (HIGP, por sua sigla em ingl\u00eas) do Hava\u00ed na Escola de Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia Oce\u00e2nica e Terrestre (Soest, sigla em ingl\u00eas) da Universidade de Manoa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"26\" data-block-id=\"14\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">&#8220;Depois de meses de pesquisa, descobri que estava olhando para a assinatura da hematita&#8221;, acrescentou Li, tamb\u00e9m autor principal do estudo, \u00e0 ag\u00eancia de not\u00edcias PA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"11\" data-block-id=\"15\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">A princ\u00edpio, Abigail Fraeman, coautora do estudo, n\u00e3o acreditava nessa possibilidade.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"20\" data-block-id=\"16\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">&#8220;(As hematitas) n\u00e3o deveriam existir, considerando as condi\u00e7\u00f5es presentes na Lua&#8221;, disse Fraeman, de acordo com um comunicado do JPL.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles\" data-block-type=\"raw\" data-block-weight=\"3\" data-block-id=\"17\">\n<div class=\"content-intertitle\">\n<h2>Oxig\u00eanio da Terra<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"11\" data-block-id=\"18\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Mas o grupo de cientistas apresentou algumas explica\u00e7\u00f5es para o fen\u00f4meno.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"35\" data-block-id=\"19\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">A an\u00e1lise dos dados do M3 mostrou que as hematitas estavam mais presentes &#8220;no lado pr\u00f3ximo \u00e0 Terra do que no lado oposto&#8221;, diz o estudo publicado na revista Science Advances no in\u00edcio de setembro.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"22\" data-block-id=\"20\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">&#8220;Mais hematitas no lado lunar mais pr\u00f3ximo sugere que a oxida\u00e7\u00e3o pode estar relacionada \u00e0 Terra&#8221;, disse o professor Li \u00e0 PA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"42\" data-block-id=\"21\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">&#8220;Isso me lembrou da descoberta da miss\u00e3o lunar japonesa Kaguya (lan\u00e7ada em 2007) de que o oxig\u00eanio da atmosfera da Terra pode ser transportado para a superf\u00edcie lunar pelo vento solar quando a Lua est\u00e1 na cauda magn\u00e9tica da Terra&#8221;, afirmou Li.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"32\" data-block-id=\"22\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Portanto, a hip\u00f3tese de Li e sua equipe \u00e9 de que as hematitas lunares se formaram gra\u00e7as a esse oxig\u00eanio que viajou continuamente da Terra \u00e0 Lua nos \u00faltimos bilh\u00f5es de anos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"20\" data-block-id=\"23\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">&#8220;O oxig\u00eanio atmosf\u00e9rico da Terra pode ser o principal oxidante na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de hematitas (na Lua)&#8221;, disse Li \u00e0 PA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"32\" data-block-id=\"24\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 poss\u00edvel que a Lua tenha recebido mais oxig\u00eanio quando estava mais perto da Terra, uma vez que os dois corpos est\u00e3o se afastando um do outro h\u00e1 bilh\u00f5es de anos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles\" data-block-type=\"raw\" data-block-weight=\"3\" data-block-id=\"25\">\n<div class=\"content-intertitle\">\n<h2>Papel da \u00e1gua<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"22\" data-block-id=\"26\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Os cientistas tamb\u00e9m encontraram hematita no lado oposto da Lua, uma \u00e1rea que n\u00e3o recebe necessariamente oxig\u00eanio da Terra, diz a PA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"20\" data-block-id=\"27\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Esta presen\u00e7a de hematita pode ser explicada por &#8220;mol\u00e9culas de \u00e1gua encontradas na superf\u00edcie lunar&#8221;, diz a declara\u00e7\u00e3o do JPL.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text professor Li explica que &#8220;as part\u00edculas de poeira interplanet\u00e1ria que tendem a chegar \u00e0 Lua podem liberar essas mol\u00e9culas de \u00e1gua na superf\u00edcie e mistur\u00e1-las com o ferro lunar&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"12\" data-block-id=\"30\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">&#8220;O calor desses impactos pode aumentar a taxa de oxida\u00e7\u00e3o&#8221;, diz
